New York

NY licensees who renew their real estate license must complete 22.5 hours of approved Realtor continuing education , including two hours of implicit bias awareness training and two hours of cultural competency training (required by the Real Estate Board of New York). The 22.5-hour course includes a short exam at the end of each unit.

Delaware

The Delaware Real Estate Commission has implemented changes pertaining to new salespersons, effective May 1, 2022. For the first two-year licensing term, a salesperson must complete 2 hours of agency-related instruction in addition to the required educational requirements.

During the second two-year period, a salesperson must complete 30 hours of Required continuing education and another three hours of Code of Ethics training to reactivate their license.

Broker Associates/Broker: If you’re a broker associate, you must complete 24 hours of continuing education within the first two license years, and 12 of those hours must be in Required subject areas. Property Managers, Real Estate Auctioneers and Home Inspectors must complete at least 24 hours of continuing education during the first two license years.

Residential Rental Agents: If you’re a residential rental agent, you must complete at least 12 hours of continuing education during the first two license periods, and at least one hour in each of the following required subject areas: lease of real property; fair housing; legal issues affecting residential rental agents; and legal aspects of real estate license law.
